one he always thought about when in danger. All the boys say it is their mother. This is the nearest that war has come to our family. So many of the boys from here have been lost at sea, prisoners of Japs and Germans but Jack & Sonny are the only ones from our own family that have been out of [country?]. Hope he got in touch with you when he was in this time. He tried to call you when he was in before, Their telephone umber is [Walnut?] 2374 Have intended to write ever since Xmas & thank you for the Guest book you sent to me. Gertrude is also on my writing list. The robins are back and we hope the awful winter is over. Love and Sympathy from Lorena.
