That was disturbing news from Aunt Gertrude. I hope Thelma improves rapidly. It sounds kind of serious though, doesn't it. If you do go, Mom, I hope you have a good time. Even under the circumstances. I'll enclose Aunt Gertrude's card back to you, as I imagine you'll want it. It's been deathly hot here for the past month. I'm sitting here in shorts, just sweating my life away. It's close and still, and about 90 [degrees] at this time of night.
