July 29 1948 Interesting discussions. Mrs. Hozard talked. Saw Larry Haynes. In a trailer home at East Hill on way home. Jesse Cornelius here for supper. Some rain in eve. 1949 Had long hard sleep. So many extras - Christine and Mette's brother, who came yesterday - also well-diggers. We went on bus to Vejen, train to Bramminge. To Chr. Knudsen's to see L. Hartvigsen and wife and took Snus to Martin Knudsen. Coffee, drinks. Pics of Pigekor in red coats who sang for us. 1950 Up soon after 5. Mosquitos thick in garden. Walked to town. Embroidered, finished neelepoint, blue. Frank came at 11:30. Here for lunch and supper. 1951 Church in AM. No more SS till Sept. At neumann's, looked at our new lot hous bought of them for $1825 - were offered 2000 should have sold. At Hofstad's in eve - Riggs' there. 1952 Cooler. Painted 2-1/2 storm windows I had overlooked. Picked and froze 6 pt. beans. Half hr. nap - Worked on statements at Branch most of P.M. In eve Frank and I saw Rice the plasterer and his helpers, stopped at Lemeke's a while.
