August 7 1948 Baked raisin bread, canned 7 pt. apricots; K and I did a huge 12 day washing and I ironed a lot while she was at library. She checked out 110 books! I also shopped. 1949 Hans and Chris went to Jeppe Schmidt's in Hoderslev. I wrote letters. In eve we walked with Christine nearly to Moeby. on her way back to Copenhagen. 1950 Up at 5:30. Lunch for Hans - only he took soil samples instead! I was thru washing by 10. Hot in sun. A. Drake, Edith K., Pat K. and Dorothy Keller here to make out yearbooks. In eve I canvassed on our block on Bristol. 10.75 now. 1951 Did big washing, sun finally came out at noon. Hans and Frank working on garage foundation over on Univ. Ave. Mrs. McKee made farewell call. Mrs. Blaschke called, Gusta Kruse and I to Miss Davis' office in eve to plan for state Fair booth. 1952 Foggy, cloudy day. Sun only shone a few minutes. Fire in fireplace in morning! Worked on needlepoint, daily walk to P.O. In eve Hilda and I up the hill to Hegnauer and Burgers. Smart shower after we got back, only last a few min.
