SEPTEMBER 16 1948. Very hot day. So tired by 3 I went home and took nap till Hans came from day at Middleton. "Shimmel" Shulenberg is digging place for driveway, \ Went with Helen Scott to Aileen. Butcher's to Methodist Dorcas Society in eve. 1949. Rainy day in OSLO Walked to Univ., then to Gulbransen's, where we had coffee. Were in Historical till it closed at 3. Walked downtown, window shopped, got Nat'l costume cards. Lunch "Unter den Linden" across from Univ. Got some Norwegian stamps for Signe. 1950. Downtown to get Mich. peaches, canned 6 qt., baked rolls, defrosted freezer, shortened skirt of rose wool suit. Frank home a few minutes. Got nursery workers for tomorrow. 1951 Some 15 in our adult group. Discussed Community Church as a movement. 1952 Did my washing, went to new house at least 4 times. Baked bread, gave loaf to H Vold, who is alone this week. Made 2 qt tomato juice. Painted 4 bedroom registers green to match rooms. also upstairs windows second coat, bathroom, and so. bedroom.
