Saving...
January 10 1917. Canned raspberry-apple butter. Sewed strips in my old crazy woolen comfort, started 15 or more years ago. Papa went to Iowa City, then to a 3 day short course at Alburnett. 1918. Cleaned, pressed and mended Hans' best suit. Went to John Hanson's in A.M. Tried 'phoning to get a food chairman - Mrs. Blockman promised to come over, but failed to. I finished hemstitching my linen tablecloth. Wrote green tomato story in evening. 1919. Walked to town in A.M. Edna brought up P.M. mail. When Dr. Burkland came in P.M. Hans' fever was 102°, but almost left in evening. Dr. vaccinated me for "flu." Letters from Cousin Frank & Constance. 1920. Did some Saturday cleaning. Finished main part of my dress. Papa got home from Des Moines. 1921. Finished Hilda's plaid gingham dress like her Aunt Helena's, and made little baby dress stitched in pink.
