Saving...
JANUARY 13 1917. Saturday work. Crocheted tops of blue wool for bedroom slippers for myself. 1918. -7° at 9:30 when I got mail. No church today. Mr. and Mrs. Cogswell were here for dinner. Had lacto. A gray day, but we were too interested in our last day together for some weeks to notice it much. 1919. Did two weeks' washing - clothes scarcely froze. Finished crocheting collar for Helena. Walked to P.O. Mr. Dawes sent Hans 6 red carnations. Dr. Burkland dismissed Hans as a "flu" patient, but told him to "behave himself." 1920. Ironed, and finished waist of my new dress. Hilda somewhat cross - her upper teeth coming being to hurt her. She now goes to sleep at night and again in morning without being rocked. 1921. Baked white cake, buns, etc., for corn-shredders tomorrow, then they phoned it was too cold to shred. Snowed all P.M. Adela out of exams & here all day with headache. I finished knotting my comfort.
