Saving...
February 20 1917. Finished one hairpin lace trimmed pillowcase, worked on my rug, and got the mail. Wrote a "story" and wrote my 101st (approximately) letter to Hans. 1918. Bitter cold. I noticed it most of any day yet, but only -30° some. Swan has had grippe, but helped me some. Mr. Degernes also helped crate up furniture 5 hrs. I packed and labeled and tried to manage. Hans has rented dandy modern bungalow in Vermilion. 1919. Cloudy, muddy, spit snow some. finished ironing in nearly 2 hrs., baked elderberry pie and pie shells. Put new muslin on old embroidered ends from worn out pair of pillowcases. Wrote to Sis. Letter from Hans' mother. Crocheted. 1920. Feel pretty good again, but not extra strong, and of course it's best to be careful. Mamma washed. I made Hilda two big linen feeding bibs, and crocheted. 1921. Signe didn't sleep till 1:20 A.M. for colic, then she slept till 3:30 P.M. except for feedings. Wrote to August + Anna + George + Mary. Olga + Orville here few minutes.
