Saving...
March 23 1917. Finished my braided rug. Just a year tonight since my accident. At Grange acted as chaplain. Helen was elected pianist in Nettie Ruess' place. "Aeroplanes" behind 45-54. 1918. Just did regular work. Baked fruit cake. Finished hat. New iron works fine,- did a little pressing- We sprayed Halderson's trees in evening, on other corner of our block. 1919. Watched while Hans and "Chesty" sowed seeds and transplanted tomatoes, cabbage + cauliflower into hot bed. Hans made a porch box + got a Ford load of cabs from August. I wrote to Margaret Fitzgerald. Nice, spring-like Sunday. 1920. Hans in Maquoketa most of day, for a long-saved-up list of things. He got home late as it rained and Queen got tired out. I cleaned fallen branches out of front yard, dressed a chicken to roast. Our hired man seems to be extra good. 1921. Signe slept most of forenoon and I got work done up nicely. We went to town in P.M. Dr. says Signe's rupture is worst he ever saw on a baby. He ordered a truss for her. I bought waist for Adela. Saw Laura Seward on street. Hilda stayed with her grandma.
