April 5 1917. Baked fruit cake and cookies. Finished Helen's dress except the trimming and fastenings. Mamma and I knotted my tan flowered wool-lined comfort. 1918. Anna and I visited University buildings and spent some time in the interesting museum. April showers in P.M. Anna and I got caught down town. We went to Meckling to put on our show in eve. Letter from Sis in the hospital, and Constance. 1919. Dr Townsend and his little Bobby called in morning. He said I might get up fifth day - he wouldn't let me stay in bed nine days. It does get a little tiresome. Hilda weighed 7 1/4 pounds, has rather dark hair and very blue eyes, and Hans feet and features! She is very good-sleeps most of the time. 1920. Wash day- another whopper, for my for my family of six. Hilda was fine - slept three hours straight. She takes steps, with my holding her. Got card from mamma at Wheaton, Easter card from Myrtle Nelson. Wrote to Millie. 1921. I frosted Hilda's birthday cake and we lit its pink and blue candles at supper. I didn't have time yesterday. Hazel did her own and our washing here. Tremendous wind as usual. Signe cried 1 1/2 hrs. before taking bottle. I got mail from box.
