Saving...
April 13 1917. Friday the 13th, but a lucky day for accomplishing things. Ironed some, cleaned upstairs, baked cookies, worked on my spread. At Grange I talked on "Why Eat Vegetables?" 50 there. "Aeroplanes" lose more ground in contest. 1918. Up very late again. Baked a wheatless cake, mopped, did a lot of mending in P.M. We planted early and late peas in our garden. Hans talked in court house in eve - I stayed home and wrote to Constance and Florence. 1919. Hilda kept us awake a couple hours in night. We put her on four-hour feeding schedule, and use breast pump every other time- much easier for me. Mrs. Meleen here for few minutes when she + Amanda come home from church. Card from Jo, letter from Sis. 1920. Big washing again. Finished at 2. Hans' father here for dinner, also Hans and Ferd again, working here from now on. Froze in morning - quite cool. Hazel Warren and Adela washed up dishes for me while I took nap. 1921. Hazel did my ironing in P.M. while I planted a quart of onion sets. Baked mince pies
