MEMORANDA 1917. Unavoidable changing of plans, at last resolved themselves into starting out now. 1918. Last half of May brought much rain. Crops looks fine. No frost in May - S. D. climate beats northern Minn! 1919 One light frost in May. I find doing my work and taking care of Hilda keeps me busy. 1920. A heavy frost was hard on cherries - Very busy getting corn in and everything going on the farm. Constance is quite a good helper Jim is fine help. 1921. A spell of regular August weather in May, tho we had frost earlier in month. Plenty of apples + peaches, tho not any strawberries or cherries to speak of this year. We have good workers to help me this year, too.
