October 28 1917. Got up at 9! Only got two meals. Rec'd letter from Cousin Frank. Wrote to Hazel Grimes and Elva Mosher. and Anna Wilson. Home all day except a few minutes at the schoolhouse. 1918. Letter from Millie. Canned 2 qts. rhubarb-citron conserve, and 1 of plum-citron- both original combinations, and good, too. Cleaned and mended Hans' old suit, finished first little kimono, trimmed with blue thorn stitch, also one trimmed with white chain stitch, except for fastenings. Miss McEvoy back in eve. 1919. Froze hard, then fine and sunny. Did a baby washing, baked bread, and rolls, crocheted a little, got my wool dress almost entirely done. Letter from Hazel Scott. Sent Hallowe'en cards to her, Helen, + Beatrice. 1920. Baked bread, did my ironing and mending. Sent cards to Leslie and Helena. Felt bum in evening. Froze hard last night. Had hard vomiting spell about 11 P.M. 19
