Saving...
November 23 1917. Ironed four curtains, from [Dhieh?] I removed rust with salt & lemon juice - minus sunshine. Mrs. Cogswell and I did a little shopping together and picked out hickory nuts. I made nut marshmallows. 1918. A bright sunny day - everybody's smiling - and cold. I washed some storm windows, baked wheatless bread, finished waist except sleeves, had teeth examined and nothing wrong. Hans home an hour at noon. Wrote to Hazel Grimes, John Campbell writes we may rent his farm. 1919. Amanda here a little in A.M. and again in evening after we got home. We drove to Chris. Nelson's and stayed for supper, then then called on Denison's. Fine sunny day. 1920. Hilda pretty good. I swept Harry's room; made 3 qts. of Iowa Blush apple butter (some mixed with plum) - starting my winter canning. Sewed on Hilda's coat, tho poor light and lack of time prevent doing much. Finished crocheting half of edge. 19
