JANUARY 28 1936. Couldn't get anyone else to help, so I made kettle of soup and took it on sled to school. Mrs. Pitz also brought one. Served 50. We called on Mrs. Lottie Moore. Mrs. Reeder here before I got home. 1937. Wrote Miss Clark. Baked cream cake. Cut out pajamas for Frank. Mild, sunny. 1938. Zero. Mrs. Brandt here from 10 to 5, working on overcoat. When it got past stage for 2 to work on, I sewed K's dress. Letter from Pauline & Aude. 1939. Very tired from being up till 12 last 2 nights. Frank in bed all day -- his infected tonsils kept him below par all week. Baked bread -- K baked cookies. Made last lard. Signe got birthday card from Robert's. 19
