JANUARY 29 Signe 15. Made her birthday cake, baked rolls; cleaned up house. Gave blue suit goods for Signe's birthday. Mrs. Thos. Holbert here for supper, then talked on Mexico at church. Gave me Mexican pottery. Signe 16. weighs 142. Baked bread, hemmed 2 towels for Beatrice finished Frank's pajamas, finished emb. pillowcase. Felt more ambitious. Girls played BB. Lost by 1 point. Signe 17 -- same wt. We washed, K baked cake & cookies. Girls cleaned. I went to McFarland and Madison from 10-1. Grand A.M. Misty P.M. Got Han's license WIS 179892 & Signe's photos & suede purse for myself. Brandt's gave her box of candy -- Signe 18 Gave her bedspread to applique At Trousdale S.S. & church. Hans came home about 7. I baked 2 rhubarb pies. Was beat in "rummy" & "500."
