FEBRUARY 13 1936. Warmest for nearly a month--up to 24°. Cleaned downstairs. Queen Esthers here in eve. 12 at table. I served 2 heart sandwiches, pineapple trifle, candy hearts, & cocoa. 1937. Tired, but we washed. H, S & I at 4H club at Pauline's. Waffle supper. Request for story about Rita for Jr. Gazette which I wrote in eve. 1938. Hans home from Ia in eve. Mrs. Wise asked me to take our S.S. class. Thick fog in A.M. cleared by noon. Kathryn and I drove to Columbus in P.M. to see Mr. Sperley, who will rent us this for 30 days at a time only. Marguerite & Russell Also here in P.M. 1939. Up to 46°. Packed & sent Hans box of clean clothes as he won't see Wis. this Feb. Embroidered on lunch cloth. Finished reading "Testament of Youth." Got Hilda at Locraine hotel at 11 P.M. Working 2 days for Wis. council of Agriculture. 19
