FEBRUARY 21 -10° 1936. Baked bread and beans. Put new cuffs on a shirt for Hans. Finished reading "Jane Eyre". 1937. Cold checked Galena + other floods Snow + wind all day. Children were 4 of 14 at church - no S.S. I had pain in right side. Read "It Can't Happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis'. Drifted. 1938. Too much chilly wind yesterday gave me cold + sore throat. Cross stitched "Tuesday" Scotty towel. Took Grace K + Mrs. Horswill to "Frozen Foods" dinner at Memorial Union 128 there. H Ec Club. 1939. Baked rolls for Frank's Boy Scout banquet. Went with Mrs Zentner to Community Guild guest day at Middleton. First time in "Little White Church". Finished reading "Genghis Khan" 19
