FEBRUARY 28 Sent lace dresser scarf to Mable Steen Nelson for wedding gift. Announcement of Ben Walker's baby - Wrote to them. 20°. Nice and sunny. 3 in my S.S. class. Wrote 7 and card to Olga (she is in Clinton hospital). Hans ordered electric "Coldspot" refrigerator. Fine sunny day. Made some lard finished ironing, mended some, lengthened cuff of Hans' new overcoat, finally put in last stitch on blue tweed dress, etc. Hemmed 2 dishtowels. Washed. K back in school. In P.M. began to sneeze + throat suddenly got very sore. Went to bed early - nose drops + BK gargle. Iowa blizzard - only 3 1/2" snow here.
