April 7 1936. Wrote 7 letter. 10°. Sunny, but cold & windy. Finished mending. Cut out white waist & finished K's dress for her to wear as waiter at basket ball banquet. Signe & Hilda went, too. Hilda got 2 "E"s 1937. Got & wrote 7 letter. Called on Sophia Sefzik, my new neighbor. Worked on braided rug. Made lacto in refrigerator. 1938 Made apple jelly & sponge cake & apple mousse. Cold & windy. Mrs. Rollis & I went with Mrs. Timmerman & Mrs. Walterscheidt to Cantmeier's to Mother's Club. My last mtg. [Bunco?]-toasted cheese sandwiches. 1939. Hans & Jay out in country. I shopped some. Dakota wind blew my hat off twice. Called on Mrs. Tjaden and "Dearie" & had lunch & grand visit with them. Drove on Mo. River bottom & had nap at hotel. We visited with Jay & got good rest. 19
