April 11 1936 Signe helped me finish her jacket, I made aqua cotton one for Kathryn & finished my crocheted sweater. Called on T.J. Hinde's, now my neighbors. Down town. Set out daisies & mums Mrs. Lasher sent me. Sunny. 1937. Nice sunny day, tho heavy frost. Jay came before breakfast. After dinner drove to A.P Pearson's, Paul [Powall's?] (not home) then to J.J. Wallace's. Home at 8. John Warton went with us. 1938 Up to 64° in P.M. Sewed on Kathryn's dress. Wrote Pauline. Walked to Waubesa school in P.M. for music teacher's demonstration. In eve went with Mrs. Voges to East High P.T.A. Program & eats by rural mothers. Finally got K's coat. 1939. Slept a little on chair car. Off at 4:15 at Wisconsin Dells. Walked to Highway Jct. of 12 & 13. Left on 5:45 bus. Off at Chanticleer & walked home in time for breakfast. Letters from J Maxwell, 7, Frank, & $593. from sale of Tremont St. property & 545 from W.L. Peoples' bank. Sewed & cut out my dress. 19
