April 28 8 calls—Baked bread! 19 Took news to Mrs. Swendiger (at Rupp's), hemstitching to Pauline's & at Mrs. Shamburg's. Called on Mr.s Ross & Mrs. Breneman about hobby show, & Garden Club comm. mtg at Reeder's. At Arnold Allen's & Sefzik's in eve. 19 Washed, thru at 10:30. On way to Dyersville in P.M. car stopped, & I had to get Mr. Glen at Farley to fix it up. Had wisdom tooth pulled. Had charge of last P.T.A. mtg. 19 Getting cooler—used last fuel in range in eve. Ironed 2 hrs., mended, packed mirrors, etc. Mr. Sperley here a few minutes. Made cake & salad for tomorrow. Caught a cold. 19 46° Shortened 2 dresses. More mending. Wrote Hans & forwarded Jay's letter & check. Hans is sick—shingles etc. Frank was in mixed chorus that sang over WIBA at 4. 19
