May 1 1936. Hans sick all night; went to Dr. after dinner for his wry neck. I typed expense acct's for April. Terrific wind in night good rain. 1937. First sunny day this week. Baked bread & feather cake. Hilda made red dress. Went to auction at L. Maxwell's. S.S. class here 3-5. Nelda, Madeline, Dorothy, K. & [Norman?]. Made Maybaskets. Ice cream & cake. 1938. Went to S.S. where Edgar G. [Dondurn?] gave fine temperance talk & church. Enjoyed our new place, strolled over our two acres, read in sunroom, napped in our big bedroom. First asparagus. Took Frank to G. Gunderson's in eve. 1939. 38° Frost, perfect washday. Did my curtains, flower garden quilt & 2 blankets, etc. Baked date cookies. Spent eve with Mrs. Reiels & Miss Zillier. Card from Dora Aunt Emma died. 19
