May 14 9 Drove to Pauline's for Hilda's slip; finished it and made the net dress. Glen & Ethel Scott here a few minutes. Hilda was toastmistress at the Jr.-Sr. banquet. 19 Washed, canned 2 pt. asparagus. Lyle Miller here for dinner with Hans. I had bridge put in by Dr. Barry, but it made second canker sore. Melloy came for the state equipment. 19 Mopped linoleums, which girls waxed—Baked layer cake. Frank helped me put in double row of late peas & another row of sweet corn. He & I shopped in Middleton in A.M. Chat with neighbor Wormuth over the fence. 19 Hilda to Trousdale, we to Middleton, then Ruth [Udder?] & Rev. Weidemann here to dinner then K & Frank went with them to E.L. meet at Fond du Lac. Dust storm & shower. Lovely tulips, Jap. iris, lilacs, phlox subalata in bloom. Hilda gave me pansies for Mother's Day. To P.O. with Hans. 19
