May 24 19 Girls & I at church & S.S. - S.S. board mtg. Read "The Cutters" in P.M. in swing. 19 Nice day. Baked bread & canned 2 pt. asparagus. Made buttonholes on my smock, did some cleaning in office set out pansy plants. Went to see Mrs C. Donatsch. 19 Kathryn had no school, so helped with the washing. Nice day, but chilly. Letter from Hans card from Dora. Hoed peas. Mended. 19 Weigelia & H.B. cranberry & perennial verbena in bloom. Washed. Windy. Mended. Frank & I planted last of peas, lima beans, & snap beans. Kids to C.E. except Signe, who studied for chem. lab. exam. 19
