May 31 1936. Girls & I to S.S. & church. Typed 25 copies of song, etc for Queen Esther banquet. Hans home early. Bill here. Mr. & Mrs. Reeder here in eve. We made out Garden Club program. 1937. Our 20th Anniversary—Girls gave us creamer & sugar lusterware Bavarian china & 2 other china pieces. Adele & Fred here from 11-to [1?]. Hilda went home with them. I saw Hans off at 3:37 for Washington, D.C. Family cut in half. Wrote Dora. 1938. I finished the ironing and baked bread. Went with Hans to our old place and hauled home 4 panels of chicken fencing. Mended. Letter from Pauline. 1939. 22nd Anniversary. Ironed. 91° High-schoolers had last exam. Frank surprised us with 100% in Science, 98 in Civics, A+ in Bus. Jr. 97% in English. To Madison with Hans in P.M. Had ice cream cones in Babcock Memorial Garden. Hans & I at Joe Adler's in eve, & rode to Springfield, Ashton. 19
