June 10 1936. Rally Day did not materialize as Miss Swinney had dates mixed so I went with Hans. Pic Stayed at "Green Mill" cabin at West [Union?] 19 Ironed & sent Hans 5 shirts & pants. We went with Warton's to Rally Day at Farley & best yet. Girls in "Romance of Bread", Green Sleeves, & skit "Pepper-Uppers" in eve. 1938. Didn't sleep after 3:30 except in P.M. nap. All 4 of us worked in garden all forenoon until I got dinner. Worked on crocheted doily hadn't touched in 20 years! Mended. Nice rain in eve—for seeds I put in last eve. Letter from Sophia Miller, card from Edna M. 1939. Baked bread & cake—fortunately. Ate little as I didn't feel well. Too muddy & wet for lawn mowing or gardening. Did some cleaning. Signe tried to get job in Madison. No luck. Frank took red peonies & lemon lilies to help decorate church. 19
