June 18 1936. Inspected some left-over gas pumps, at Frohlich, Highlandville, Hesper (drove over line to Mabel, Minn) Hans started creamery inspection at Church. Back to Decorah for shower & sleep at same cabin. 1937. Many roses in bloom, also biggest syringa ever. Signe lost 9 hens—cause unknown. Mr. & Mrs. Hallet called. 1938. Baked beans & bread. We went to Trousdale S.S. & church picnic at Vilas Park. I called first on Delia Munger. Hans & Hilda came & met us at park. 1939. Taught combined class at Middleton then girls & I went to Trousdale to hear Rev. Barber's last sermon. Sat with Mrs. [last name] up front! Turned hot & windy in P.M. K & I at Isaacson's—she is getting orders for K's jam. Wrote Flo, Grace, & Hilda. 19
