JUNE 25 19 Mopped dining room. Baked birthday cake for Pauline. 4H girls here in P.M. Signe gave demonstration on canning peas. Got Pauline & took her home. 19 Hot till mid-P.M. Last of Bible school—picnic at Eagle Point park. 6 cars went—rode with Hallet's. Beautiful WPA landscaping. At library also. Wrote Hans, Helen Pownall & Edith Whitson. 19 Got gaillardia, blue flowered plant & red oxalis of Dora & perennial verbena of her neighbor. Went thru agronomy farm with Hans. Rainy, but we 3 families had fine picnic at Ledges State park near Boone. My first trip there. Hans saw many [at?] college he had interviews with. 19 We went to Middleton to S.S. as K took Ruth's class & I had adults. Model A wouldn't crank— had to be pushed home. [Heard?] Mrs. Moore at East Side. Picnic at Tenney Park then got Sig quite overworked at a swanky place. 19
