JUNE 27 19 Hottest day yet. Baked bread and cake, Kathryn gingersnaps. Mr. Konrade cut down big catalpa wind blew over the 16th. [Cow?] kicked Bill Beyer and broke his leg. Hans and Frank went down. 19 Lovely day. Church given over to Bible school program; I gave 5 min. Missionary Talk. Exhibits extra good. Read in "With Plane, Camera and Boat in Greenland". Frank & I at Mrs. Lasher's in eve. 19 After breakfast at Leslie's (who have large new upstairs, elec. stove, refrigerator, etc.) I took Hans to Walcott to meet L.A. Horstman. I saw White Prairie, Mae Maurer Frenzel & her 4 red-heads; called on Margaret Fitzgerald at Mrs. Mosher's. Dinner at Leslie's, supper at George's. At W.L. movies P.M. and at pageant practise in eve with Bertha. 19 Made gooseberry-strawberry conserve stemmed berries. Took 15 qt for short cakes with ice cream which Mrs Buehler and Mrs. [Reinecke?] served at Guild. [45?] served. We saw "Mutiny on Bounty' "Rose Marie" at Parkway in eve. 19
