4H club at Pitz' in P.M. and Garden Club at Randall's JULY 24 (should be June) 1936. Girls and I took down stove and furnace pipe at last. We house cleaned front room. I washed parlor and d.r. windows, all tired out. 1937. I baked bread, Hilda a cake. Crocheted on blue cotton rug. K picked ripe gooseberries at Waechter's - I picked up a few green apples and made jam. 1938. Saw auto licenses from 16 states on way to and from church. 7 in my S.S. class. Read till I had headache in eve. Wrote "Centennial" poem. 1939. Cut out blue printed seersucker dress and sewed on it. Windy. Scentless marigolds out. Water flowers every eve. 19
