AUGUST 4 19 Ironing - practising in P.M. 19 Invitation to Beatrice's wedding, letter from Dora, Helene, Amanda. Figured on acc'ts., ironed trousers and helped pack Hans' suitcase. Took my big fuschia to Pauline. We wrote to Jay and Edith Whitson 19 Frank and I went in with Hilda - spent most of P.M. in Jackson Clinic, with final checkup for my tonsillectomy - To Grace's - where we stayed for lunch. She gave me a Wear-Ever omelette pan, etc. Mailed letters to Elsie, Erma Boyer, card to Kathryn, Pat and Bertha. 19 Ironed. Signe home in P.M. finished her curtains. Grace Kirkpatrick came on surprise, Hadley's bringing her out. 19
