AUGUST 17 1936. Washed. Signe helped Pauline can tomatoes and I drove down for her, some apples. 1937. Cloudy. Baked cake, made cottage cheese and lemonade for our S.S. class picnic at Grandview park. Eva and Belle each drove, Virginia Bell, Helen C, Madeline A, Charlotte K, Dora and Ruth Broessel, Dorothy McComb, Norma Berger there. Games, then went to [Boly Fold?]. Girls went to Queen Esther picnic at Doris [Storks?]. 1938 We took bu. sweet corn and beets to Kiddie Kamp. K and I shopped - Dollar Day. Miss A, H and Frank to McFarland - Dinner 1:30. Hilda and Miss A. to supper with Tom L. Canned 4 qt. pickles. 1939. Canned 6 pt. plums (K did 2 pt. watermelon pickle). Up at 6, hoed border, ironed, had first eggplant, mended. To Middleton twice in P.M. and took Sig to Haley's at 9. Wrote Hans. Letter from Dora. 19
