SEPTEMBER 4 19 Final assembly. Demonstrations of champion teams. Packed up at 4. Left before 5, following Riley's to Jensen's, where we all ate supper. Visited at [illegible] with Leslie's till late. 1937. Went to Madison with Hans in A.M. to Elec. office, P.O., etc. To McFarland in P.M. to start bank account. Card from Mrs. Randall. Much cooler. Finished reading "Integrity: The Life of George W. Norris". Riley's here before leaving for Milwaukee. 1938. Breakfast at Carl Maxwell's. Left at 9 for Ames. Dinner at 3107 West St. Dora at Ben's at Champaign. Wayne drove our 1925 Dodge from Riley's to Dubuque. Supper at Riley's. On campus, etc. 1939. Did huge washing, fine day. Al and Jo surprised us just as we finished dinner. - The 8 of us went to new [Glarus?] to see "Wilhelm Fell" in German, 2d annual presentation. Frank and Velma to Middleton High in A.M. 19
