OCTOBER 30 1936. Baked pumpkin pie for [hi?] party; also bread. Puttied in 3 attic window panes, washed my south bedroom window and got all tired out cleaning. Exec. Comm. mtg of WHMS at Mrs. Moore's in P.M. 1937. Slept from 12:30 to 6:30 only. Got my new hat and dress goods in Madison. Frank and I also to McF. in afternoon. Baked bread, made cranberry-orange conserve. Kathryn and Frank exchanged rooms. 1938. Had 13 in our S.S. class Mrs. Wise asked me to teach. Rev. A.F. Hughes preached fine sermon. Read "The Church Takes Root in India". Children all to E.L. to hear John Swan. Signe put in as first vice pres. 1939. Rainy so Grace and I stayed in all day and rested. Napped in P.M. Cards to Bess Clark, Mrs. MacKenzie, birthday card to Hans' mother of Statue of Liberty we saw. 19
