NOVEMBER 4 Got '15 letter, first since March. Sunny, so washed, but clothes froze. Baked bread. Hans at Ames very briefly, to see Murl McDonald and at Doras' overnite. No high school because of Teachers' Mtg in Milwaukee. Hilda rode in with Stoughton pupils. I washed, with Kathryn's help, finished my dress, went to McFarland visited Waubesa school 3/4 hr. Took Frank in for guitar lesson and brot Hilda home. Frank helped me clean his room. I shortened Signe's black and white plaid dress for Kathryn. Worked on Trousdale calendar a couple of hours. Read 'Little Brown Babe". Crocheted. Frank dug carrots. I picked snapdragons. Rain in eve. and furnace fire for 1st time this week. Breakfast at Tipton Ind. dinner El Paso, Ill. Back in CS time - started at 6:05. Much corn and level country. Cross word puzzles! Stopped at Purdue Univ. Lafayette, Ind. To Grandpa Skott's at 4. Kids there. Got supper.
