NOVEMBER 6 Made one citron into candied citron. Sent blue wool dress of Kathryn's and 2 prs shoes of Frank's to August's children. Wrote them a letter. Sent the camera to 4H girl at Lime Springs. At Waechter's overnight. Hilda at Aitchison's, Signe at Warton's, Frank at Norman's and K with Ona Bradley. Had 2 flat tires! Norman went with us to farm and got walnuts and gander; and to Hans' folks - his mother in bed. Aunt Martha there. Buck at [illegible]. K also stayed with Rita. Called at Reeder's. [illegible]" cementing horse barn floor, sold Sig's calf; 19 shotes stolen. Peace Sunday. I read a clipping at S.S. - Got more calendar names. First snow which melted. Read. Took huge bouquet of snapdragons to S.S. Wrote Hans, birthday card to Flo. Nice to be at home again. Fine day. I dressed 2 chickens Amanda gave us, washed rayon things, etc., ironed, mended Hans' sox, baked sour cream cake, packed for Hans.
