NOVEMBER 9 1936. Hans went to LaCrosse with Mr. Boyle. About all in. Did some mending. Went to Irmscher Aux mtg. in eve at Kathryn Silker's. Took L. Maxwell and Mrs. Sarton. Slept well after eating pumpkin pie. 1937. A grand day. Planted a bittersweet from farm, got the goose and kitties out of doors in sunshine, did mending. Wrote to Hans and Sperley. "Lulu Belle" and "Skyland Scottie" are white kitties from Waechter's. Mary Jane here for supper. 1938. Went to Madison before 8 with girls. Called on Mrs. Wise, Mrs. Wolf, Mrs Schoenmann and the Barbers, all on calendar business. Made a no. of other calls. Home 4:30 Letter from Grace K and Hans. Wrote him. Nice sunny day. Rainy 1939. Took girls in, then came out and took Frank and Velma as High School begins at 9 now. Called on Mrs. [Lu?] Frenne. Made cookies and noodles. Took Mrs. Johnston to Silver Tea at Trousdale. I helped serve. Got and wrote 7, also Hans. 19
