NOVEMBER 15 1936. Hans went to farm, also Kathryn, and got a gander for Hans Sumtum. 4 in my S.S. class - Practised playlet in church in P.M. 1937. Baked bread, rolls and fruit cake (one and some beans for prizes for Bingo party at school Fri). Darned, etc. Made 4 hdkfs. At H. Ec. Club mtg at College Club in eve. Went from Kirkpatrick's with Grace and Mrs. Hill. Mrs. Cockefaire told of her trip in Orient. Had flat tire by Franklin school. 1938. Letter from Hans. Went in with neighbor within block of Univ. Wesleyan Church where I repeated review of 3 chaps. of Moving Millions to 26 at missionary society. Mrs. K and I guests of Mrs. Jardine at supper for children's society. John Swan talked. 1939. Washed 14 windows, 64° sunned overcoats, etc. Cleaned my closet, varnished inside of front door. Wrote Hilda. Letters from Hans, Edith Whitson. 19
