We cleaned long horizontal kitchen stove pipe, Frank blacking it. Got new lace curtains for front room at Manchester's. Fog turned to rain and snow in eve. We ironed, baked bread, rolls and cookies, K waxed kitchen linoleum. Signe and Hans home for late supper - hard trip in snow. 1938. Baked pineapple upside down cake, roasted goose Mrs. Ande dressed - first I ever did in kerosene stove. Roy and May Dyas here from 11:30 to 6:30. At Capitol etc in P.M. 1939. Having to wait for water to pump to wash. Dried hdkfs. on ground! To mailbox bareheaded. Frank came home sick - pain in side. 19
