NOVEMBER 29 1936. Didn't sleep well. Everett Bradley here over night and went to Buckhorn with Frank and Hans. I took S.S. class of 7th and 8th grade girls. WHMS Pot luck dinner at church with fellowship hr. 1937. Mended for Hans. He left about 10:30 for Eau Claire. Ripped up his old brown suit and brown overcoat. 5° in morning, only 15° at noon. Wrote Anna Skott, Mrs. Warton. 1938. Weak, but by resting I dressed our last 2 chickens, washing front door and sunroom windows, my bedroom windows outside and put on basement storm window. Made 2 corrections on 150 Trousdale calendars. Wrote card to Amanda to thank her for sweet potatoes. Adele congratulations on baby and long letter to Grace K. Grand day. 1939. Frank better but must stay in bed. I dressed a duck, mended some, began second pillowcase. Hans home at 4. Sent cards to Pauline and to Martha Arndt. Saw "Drums Along the Mohawk" in eve. 19
