DECEMBER 12 Only able to sit and tell girls what to do, mopping, cookies, etc. Hilda finished her dress - Hans in bed all day. I began lazy daisy pillowcases. Charlie Chang talked at S.S. I led discussion in women's class. Mr. Sperley here in P.M. also Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kirkpatrick. To pageant in Capitol - carols, angels, etc. Thousands there. Hans, Frank and I to Grace Kirkpatrick's for supper. Mended, crocheted most of one small piece for chair set, finished K's pajamas. In eve to Home Ec. Club with Emma Hadley and neighbor Mrs. Trofford. Drove V8 with new engine, couldn't start it so stayed overnight with Emma. Mtg. at Ormond's 2121 Adams St. Not quite so nice as yesterday, but clothes I hung outside did not freeze. To "Eta Lot" Card Club at Zeigler's. My score 980 - just below 1st and 2d prizes! Got and wrote (7). Letter from Hans at Des. M. Read in "7 League Boots"
