DECEMBER 13 1936. I managed to get to S.S. and had Miss Magana agree to teach the girls a song for Christmas eve. Oskar here for dinner, and took "<>x" in trailer. Doc here to see Hans. 1937. Hans had man out to examine heating plant and he put new air valve on. We went to DeForest and got deer and 2 rugs for Christmas. Got big box of filberts, walnuts, holly, and mistletoe from Frank. 1913. [sic] Finished embroidering 1 pillowcase and crocheted and mended. Colder. Hilda home, sick. I went to bank for once and brought K and Frank then went in for Signe. Took Frank to Scout mtg. Letter from Hans, Lillian Maxwell. 1939. Thru ironing at 8:15. Cleaned up the downstairs. Mrs. Schwenn here in eve and we made graham cracker rolls. Letter from Hilda, she may come the 21st. K [illegible] decorations for mantel. 19
