DECEMBER 21 1936. Girls helped with a 10 days' washing and decorated a cedar tree. Nice and sunny. Embroidered and wrote a lot of Christmas cards. Gave talk on Christmas decorations at Garden Club at Wilkinson's. Made red star. 1937. Baked bread. Hilda and I in to see lawyer at request of Ins. Co. Got damage case postponed. More cards. "Bingo" game for family from Helene. 1938. Cards from Dyas', Luella, Adele, Lyle Miller's. We ironed and mended. Fine sunny day. Cut out Hans' nightshirt. 1939. Developed headache. Nearly finished card writing. Mailed 4 pkgs and cards. Cards from George's, Leslie's, Herman's, Lyle Miller's, MacKenzies, Florence Kuhn and Eder's. Helped pack 100 boxes candy at Gunnison's. Mrs. Rabe and I made church calls - Mrs. Stanford. To school concert in eve. Velma in it. 19
