DECEMBER 23

1936. Mended hose, did some cleaning. At church in P.M. for practising. Hilda has charge of 1st graders. 

1937. Took holly and nuts to Roberts'. Got dress ready made for Signe when she went along with Frank and me to Madison and new guitar and cover for Frank. Finished Olga's peasant apron and pkg wrapping. Hans home at 6; conference with Kirk in his office an hr. Brought Mr. and Mrs. Barber and E.L. girls here after S.S. program. 30 here for E.L. party. Made 3 gal. [illegible].

1938. Took K and Frank to Middleton. Baked Frank's birthday cake - 3 layers. Signe made cookies, Hilda cookies. Signe made 2 blouses this week - wrapped packages. Cards from Elsie, Aunt Emma, letter from Frank.

1939 Went to Madison to finish Christmas shopping. Baked 2 pies, Frank's birthday cake and bread. Pie for girls' play. Wrapped packages and frosted cake and took bath after S.S. program. Kraft cheese pkg from Helen.
