1936. Foggy and nasty. Washed - Signe hung attic full. Cut out play suit from old coat of Dora's and old plaid Mackinaw, for Billie Sider's. Wrote Dora. 1937. We ironed. Mended a pile of Frank's clothes. Hans finally got his fender repaired, radio repaired and reinstalled in his V8 (the latter my Christmas gift) and left for Ill. about 4. Re-read "O Pioneers". 1938. Not so cold. Hilda and I went to Madison in P.M. I for another "shot" and more medicine, which apparently is helping. Pieced 2 blocks to finish a quilt top my mother started. 1939 Worked all day adding up personal account book -- and got 3 meals. [Thass?] all. 19
