April 20th. To church in forenoon. family reunion at Johnsons in afternoon, Lorene [Alf Con?] and Adelina, Hawkins', over there. Hulda suddenly took sick and operated on. April 21st. Started discing. It started to rain about 4 oclock so quit. Cleared a little later, lots of lightning tonight. Looks rather threatening. Raining again. Received letter from Benj. today. April 22nd. Big rain last nite. Helped take up carpet, fixed dam down at creek. Carl & [Al got?] came to tile but quit on account of too much wetness. Worked at hog house. Called to Franks in evening. April 22nd. Disced all day. Made a mistake in days so have Wednesdays memoranda before Tuesdays in book.
