Aug. 19. Finished Gusts' job. Worked around home a while. Went to Albins' toward evening and got his wheat threshed out. Aug 20. Finished threshing at Albins. Finished up Martins, and started on Arvids. Aug. 21st. Finished threshing Arvids Albin Edwins' & mine. Ben came out Aug 23. Threshed Herman's timothy. Went to town in afternoon. Fixed up fence around meadow, Bj went back. Aug 24th. Sunday. Home all day. Choir practice in evening. Aug 25. Cut a few weeds. Staked out house. Put [weaner?] on steer. Cleaned barn. Ben came out in evening. Aug 26th. Started excavating. Aug 27th. Excavating. Aug 28th. Ditto. Aug 29th. Still at the good work.
