Discontentment Persons in this world are prone to think their own lot the hardest, nature has wisely furnished us ways and means to desire [?] such false ideas. a very correct opinion of human nature teaches us that such opinions are against the laws of God and Man. God has given us such a portion of talents as we are capable of cultivating and if properly cultivated by us we shall never fail of attaining the great and for which we were placed in this world and for this purpose, there are certain indespensable rules for its accomplishments we are first to give our time and wishes[?] to our Creator, to him we owe our lives, our being, and to him our "morning and evening devotion should rise" we should command a portion of our time to meditation on such subjects we well tend our usefulness both in this world and the
