Saving...
June 9, 1936 Dear Folks: In the laundry bag, besides what Bob tells you, also put my old green hat which is in the front closet, some stationery, post cards, envelopes, stamps If you have already sent the bag you had better send them some other way. Send my mail to 22 East Bloomington & my laundry also. Anything of value had better be sent to the Phi Gamma Delta House of which Eckdahl is in charge. The other address would be alright but things are rather disorganized & it might be misplaced. This letter will lack continuity & probably coherence but you'll get some enjoyment from it & can figure out how I am getting along. I don't remember all I said in this morning's letter so I'm apt to repeat some of it. There are many things to be desired. No chance at all to read or study. They don't even take the Des Moines Register. I'll get less sleep per nite than ever before. There are 6 in my room including De Herr of whom two or three pretty nice guys. However I am in the top of a double decker about 2 or 3 ft from the lights & when these birds come in late, each & every one switches on the light. I am getting used to it & will soon be able to sleep right
